Abstract:
Provided is a resin integrated fiber sheet 1 for vacuum forming that is for obtaining a fiber reinforced resin formed body through vacuum forming, comprising: unidirectional continuous fibers 2 that are obtained by opening a group of continuous fibers and are arranged in parallel in one direction; bridging fibers 3 arranged in directions intersecting with the unidirectional continuous fibers 2; and thermoplastic resins 4 that are present at least on the surfaces of the unidirectional continuous fibers 2 and combine the unidirectional continuous fibers 2 and the bridging fibers 3. The fiber reinforced resin formed body according to the present invention is obtained by vacuum-forming two or more resin integrated fiber sheets 1 that have been layered. The formed body production method according to the present invention involves using a lower mold having a vacuum line to vacuum-form the resin integrated fiber sheets 1, and using an upper mold to press the sheets with pressure. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a resin integrated fiber sheet for vacuum forming having excellent formability and causing no voids, and a formed body and formed body production method using the same.
