Abstract:
Provided is a resolution control device that suppresses an output data processing load by dynamically controlling, on the basis of a travel status, the resolution when output data of an external sensor is processed. This resolution control device processes output data of an external sensor that recognizes the surrounding environment of a vehicle and outputs the output data to an automatic driving device, the resolution control device comprising: a travel status determination unit that determines the travel status of the vehicle; and a control unit that extracts a focus region of the output data on the basis of the travel status, converts the regions other than the focus region to low resolution, and then outputs the same to the automatic driving device.
