Abstract:
Provided are an RF tag attachment capable of improving the versatility and communication performance of an RF tag having a planar inverted-F antenna, and an RF tag using said attachment. An attachment 1 used on an RF tag body is provided with an IC chip 80 and an RF tag antenna 10, in which a planar inverted-F antenna is formed from a first insulating substrate 40, first and second waveguide elements 20 and 30, a power feeding part 50, and a short-circuit part 60, and a resonance circuit is formed from an inductor pattern L and a capacitor 92. The inductor pattern is formed from the waveguide elements, the short-circuit part, and the power feeding part. The capacitor is formed from the waveguide elements and the first insulating substrate. The resonance circuit has a resonance frequency set in consideration of the inductance of the inductor pattern, the capacitance of the capacitor, and the equivalent capacity of the inside of the IC chip. The attachment 1 is made from a conductor equipped with a tag attaching part 2, which comes into contact and is electrically connected with one of the waveguide elements, and an extension part 3, extends from the tag attaching part.
