Abstract:
An embodiment may provide a control system of a robot ball having an autopilot function, the control system comprising: a robot ball which comprises an outer case which has a ball shape and in which at least one area thereof is transparent, an inner housing positioned inside the outer case and including at least one processor, at least one memory, a wireless communication interface, a propulsion system, a battery, and a sensor, and a camera installed in a support part of the inner housing; and a charging platform for charging the battery by docking with the robot ball to wirelessly provide power to the robot ball, wherein the propulsion system is configured to rotate the outer case in response to an instruction received through the wireless communication interface or an instruction stored in the memory executed by the processor, and the processor performs an autopilot operation of the robot ball by controlling the propulsion system so as to move while avoiding an adjacent obstacle identified through the sensor and the camera.
