Abstract:
In this robot control system, a robot maintains a relative distance between the robot and the position of a user within a predetermined distance. Request information indicating a request to collect surroundings information of the user is acquired. Position information indicating the position of the robot and confirmation information indicating that the robot is near the user are acquired from the robot. If it is determined, on the basis of map information, the position information, and the confirmation information, that the user of the robot is together with the robot and outside a residence area of the user, a command is sent, in response to the request, to the robot to change a setting of the robot from a first specification, in which surroundings information of the user in the residence area can be collected, to a second specification, in which surroundings information of the user outside the residence area can be collected.
