A robot device according to one aspect of the present technology comprises a hand part, a sensor part, and a gripping member. The hand part has a plurality of finger parts which are disposed so as to face one another in a first axial direction. The sensor part has a first pressure sensor and a deformation layer. The first pressure sensor is disposed on at least one of the plurality of finger parts and is configured to be capable of detecting pressure distribution. The deformation layer is disposed on the first pressure sensor and comprises a viscoelastic material. The gripping member is supported by the deformation layer, and has a claw portion which projects from the tip end of the at least one finger part in a second axial direction intersecting the first axis and which is capable of gripping the workpiece.
