The present invention relates to a robot-friendly building, and a method and a system for controlling a robot traveling in a building. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and a system for controlling a robot, the method and the system enabling a robot and a person to coexist in the same space and provide useful services to the person. The present invention can provide a method for controlling, on the basis of the map about the building, a robot traveling in a building.
