Abstract:
Disclosed is a robot. The robot comprises: a drive unit; a 3D depth sensor; memory for storing one or more instructions; and a processor. The processor can execute the one or more instructions to: acquire a depth image of a travel surface, the depth image being captured by the 3D depth sensor while the robot travels in space; acquire location information of a boundary region in which inclination information of the travel surface is changed on the basis of the acquired depth image; acquire type information corresponding to an outer region of the boundary region on the basis of the acquired location information of the boundary region and the changed inclination information; and control the drive unit on the basis of the type information.
