This robot system comprises: a manufacturing task unit (10) that operates in accordance with an operation program including operation specifics and an operation procedure for a robot (11) and a peripheral device (12) to perform a product manufacturing task; a portable information terminal (2) comprising a display unit (62) and an input unit (61); and a unit controller (30) that is connected to the robot, the peripheral device, and the portable information terminal so as to be capable of communicating therewith. The unit controller comprises: a storage unit (32) that stores the operation program; an operation mode setting unit (41) that sets an operation mode among a plurality of operation modes including a teaching mode and a playback mode; an operation control unit (42) that controls the operation of the robot on the basis of operation commands in teaching mode, and controls the robot and the peripheral device in accordance with the operation program in playback mode; and a display control unit (43) that controls the portable information terminal so as to display a manipulation screen (53) for inputting operation commands on the display unit in teaching mode, and controls the portable information terminal so as to display a screen other than the manipulation screen (53) on the display unit in playback mode.
