Abstract:
A roll mold manufacturing device 10 is provided with: a signal generation unit 15 that generates, on the basis of a signal outputted from a rotary encoder 11a, a control waveform for moving a cutting blade 12 back and forth in the radial direction of a roll 1 at a position corresponding to a prescribed cutting place on the surface of the roll 1; and a control unit 16 that causes the cutting blade 12 to move back and forth in the radial direction of the roll in accordance with the control waveform, and that causes a cutting tool stage 14 to move in the radial direction of the roll 1 such that a cutting step, for performing cutting at least once to a prescribed cutting depth, is performed for a plurality of times. The control unit 16 causes the cutting tool stage 14 to move in the radial direction of the roll 1 so that the cutting depth in the cutting step becomes smaller than that in a cutting step immediately before. The signal generation unit 15 generates the control waveform in such a manner that at least one of the depth and the arrangement of a plurality of cut holes is random.
