Abstract:
In a curving method according to the present invention, a metal curving material (Wa), which is long and has a plurality of sheet-thickness parts (w1, w2) having different angles, is fed between a plurality of rolling rollers (13, 14, 15, 16). When the curving material (Wa) is curved while being rolled by the rolling rollers (13, 14, 15, 16), the initial shape of the curving material (Wa) is made to be linear or a curved shape having a curve-radius dimension that is larger than a target curve-radius dimension. The thickness dimension of a cross-section along the curve-radius direction of the curving material (Wa) is set so as to increase from the inner side to the outer side of the curve-radius direction. By feeding and rolling the curving material (Wa) between the rolling rollers (13, 14, 15, 16), the rolling amount in a region at the outer side of the curve-radius direction is made to be greater than the rolling amount in a region at the inner side, thereby causing the curving material (Wa) to be curved from the initial shape to the target curve-radius dimension.
