Abstract:
The present invention comprises: an upper work roll 710; radial bearings 790A, 790B, a thrust bearing 792 that are provided on a work side and a drive side of the upper work roll 710 and support the upper work roll 710; shift cylinders 715A, 715B that are provided on the work side of the upper work roll 710 and apply force to the thrust bearing 792 in both the direction of the work side and the direction of the drive side; and shift cylinders 715C, 715D that are provided on the drive side of the upper work roll 710 and apply force to radial bearing 790B in both the direction of the work side and the direction of the drive side. The shift cylinders 715A, 715B, 715C, 715D apply force to the thrust bearing 792, radial bearing 790B in the same direction at least when the upper work roll 710 does not shift in the axial direction during rolling.
