Abstract:
A rolling mill comprises: bending cylinders 740, 741, 744 for applying a bending force in the vertical direction to bearing boxes 712, 713 to bend work rolls 710, 711; a backlash removal cylinder 760 for applying a pressing force in the rolling direction to the bearing boxes 712, 713; and members 712A, 713A for receiving the bending force from the bending cylinder 744, the members 712A, 713A being positioned between the bending cylinder 744 and the bearing boxes 712, 713, the bending cylinders 740, 744 and the backlash removal cylinder 760 being provided in the axial direction on either the entry side or the exit side in the rolling direction, and the bending cylinder 741 and the members 712A, 713A being provided on the other of either the entry side or the exit side in the rolling direction.
