Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a room key collection box with which it is possible to not just collect room keys but also acquire the room information of the collected room keys, and a checkout system in which the room key collection box is used. The room key collection box for collecting room keys in a lodging facility is configured so as to comprise a room information read unit for reading out the room information held by the room keys, a room information output unit for outputting the room information to a front operation device of the lodging facility, and preferably a room information retention unit for retaining the room information read out by the room information read unit, the room information output unit outputting the room information retained by the room information retention unit to the front operation device of the lodging facility at each prescribed time or by each prescribed amount.
