Abstract:
This rotary electric machine (1001) comprises: a field magnet (1010) that has a magnet part (700) having a plurality of magnetic poles of which the polarities are alternated in a circumferential direction; and an armature (1030) that is placed facing the field magnet, and that has a multi-phase armature winding (1033), wherein any among the field magnet and the armature is a rotor. The field magnet has a soft magnetic core (1011) that has a magnet housing hole that houses and holds the magnet part. The armature winding has lead wire parts (800) positioned at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction at positions facing the field magnet. In the armature, an inter-lead-wire member (1034) is provided between each of the lead wire parts in the circumferential direction, and the inter-lead wire member at one magnetic pole is magnetically saturated by the magnetic flux from the magnet part in the one magnetic pole when the lead wire part is not energized.
