Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to facilitate exchange of a cable, hose, or other linear member used in a rotary gantry. A rotary gantry (10) comprises a beam control device including a beam transport system (13) and an irradiation nozzle (14), a gantry frame (11), a linear member (30, 40) drawn out from the beam control device, a winding spool (15), and an external device. The beam control device is fixed to the gantry frame (11), and the gantry frame (11) is configured to freely rotate about a patient (18). The winding spool (15) shares a rotational axis with the gantry frame (11) and is provided on one end side of the gantry frame (11), and a portion of the linear member (30, 40) is wound around the winding spool (15). The linear member (30, 40) is connected to the external device. The rotary gantry (10) comprises a first connection mechanism for enabling attachment/detachment of one end of the linear member (30, 40), and a second connection mechanism for enabling attachment/detachment of the other end of the linear member (30, 40) to/from the external device.
