Abstract:

This rotary switch device is provided with a terminal base to which a center contact and a fixed contact are fixed; a rotation operation member which is capable of being operated so as to rotate about the center contact; a plate-shaped movable contact member which, at one end of one of the plate-thickness-direction surfaces, has a contact protrusion which presses against the center contact, and, at the other end, a contact surface contacting the fixed contact, and which is held by the rotation member and creates a short circuit between the center contact and the fixed contact; and a barrel-shape compression coil spring which is supported at one end on the bottom surface of a spring-accommodating hole formed in the rotation operation member, and which, at other end, presses against the contact protrusion and the surface opposite of the plate-thickness-direction surface where the contact surface is formed, biasing the contact protrusion and the contact surface towards the terminal base.
