Abstract:
As one example, a rotation-linear motion conversion device according to an embodiment comprises: a rotation member that is driven by a motor to rotate around a center of rotation; a linear motion member that advances linearly in the direction along the center of rotation in response to the rotation of the rotation member; and a friction unit that is provided on one member, that is, the rotation member or the linear motion member, and that has a first surface facing one direction, that is, the direction toward the center of rotation or the direction away from the center of rotation. The other member, that is, the linear motion member or the rotation member, is provided with a second surface facing the other direction, that is, the direction away from the center of rotation or the direction toward the center of rotation. Frictional force is generated between the first surface and the second surface by the linear advance of the linear motion member while the first surface presses against the second surface.
