According to one embodiment, provided is a rotor of a line-start synchronous reluctance motor, comprising: a plurality of barriers arranged in the circumferential direction around a shaft hole, and including a first barrier and a second barrier; a plurality of first slots facing both ends of each of the plurality of barriers; and a second slot positioned between the two first slots positioned at both ends of the first barrier, wherein: the barrier includes a body part, and a first connecting part and a second connecting part, which are positioned at both ends of the body part and of which the angle formed with the body part is 90 degrees or more; a first slot connecting part and a second slot connecting part are positioned at both ends of a slot body part so that the second slot has a shape similar to that of the barrier; and the angles formed by the slot body part and the first connecting part, and the slot body part and the second connecting part are 90 degrees or more.
