Abstract:
Provided are: a rubber article mold in which it is possible to discharge air from the molding-surface side to the back-surface side during vulcanization while restraining rubber from entering an air vent hole; and a method for producing said rubber article mold. This rubber article mold comprises an air discharge means that discharges air on the molding-surface side for molding a rubber article to the back-surface side. The air discharge means includes: a hole that is penetrated from the molding surface of the rubber article mold to the back surface thereof; and a valve member that is provided in the hole, wherein a predetermined clearance is formed between the valve member and a hole wall forming the hole. The hole comprises: an inflow part into which air on the molding-surface side flows; a discharge part that discharges the air that has flowed in from the inflow part to the back-surface side; and an intermediate part that is connected to the inflow part and the discharge part, and that has a smaller diameter than the inflow part and the discharge part. The valve member includes: a lead-in part on the molding-surface side; a lead-out part on the back-surface side; and a body part that connects the lead-in part and the lead-out part, and that has a smaller diameter than the lead-in part and the lead-out part.
