Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition that uses a sulfur-based crosslinking agent in combination with a peroxide crosslinking agent and that exhibits excellent crosslinking characteristics and processability and an excellent post-crosslinking durability and heat resistance. The rubber composition contains 100 mass parts of an ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated polyene copolymer, 1 to 3 mass parts of a peroxide crosslinking agent, 0.1 to 0.8 mass parts of sulfur, and 0.1 to 0.6 mass parts of a thiazole-type crosslinking accelerator, and is characterized in that the ratio of the propylene content to the sum of the ethylene and propylene contents in the ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated polyene copolymer is 30% to 55%.
