Abstract:
The present invention provides a rubber composition having good silica dispersion and fuel-efficiency, and a pneumatic tire that is obtained using this composition. The present invention relates to a rubber composition for tires. The rubber composition comprises: a rubber component containing ≥30% by mass of styrene-butadiene rubber having an SiOR group (R is a hydrogen atom or hydrocarbon group); ≥50 mass parts of silica having a nitrogen adsorption specific area of ≥210 m2/g per 100 mass parts of the rubber component; and at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of polyoxyalkylene alkenyl ether sulfate ester salts and polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate ester salts.
