Abstract:
A rubber composition for torsional dampers, which contains carbon black and a liquid polyolefin oligomer in amounts of 10 to 200 parts by weight and 5 to 100 parts by weight, respectively, relative to 100 parts by weight of at least one of an ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated diene terpolymer rubber, an ethylene-butene-nonconjugated diene terpolymer rubber and an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber each of which contains propylene or butane in an amount of 35 to 55% by weight relative to the total amount of ethylene and propylene or butane, wherein the carbon black has a iodine adsorption amount of 100 to 600 mg/g, a DBP oil absorption amount of 138 to 330 cm3/100g and a nitrogen-adsorbing specific surface area of 100 to 530 m2/g, and the liquid polyolefin oligomer has a number average molecular weight Mn of 3,000 to 4,000.
