Abstract:
A rubber composition for vibration damping rubbers, which contains 2-10 parts by weight of a composite zinc oxide per 100 parts by weight of a rubber component that contains 60-95 parts by weight of at least one rubber which is selected from the group consisting of natural rubbers and polyisoprene rubbers and 5-30 parts by weight of a styrene-butadiene rubber. The composite zinc oxide is obtained by covering a core of CaCo3 or the like having a core diameter as small as possible with zinc oxide, and has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 15-110 m2/g, a DBP oil absorption of 50-100 ml/100g and a zinc oxide concentration of 38-64% by weight.
