Title:
RUBBER CRAWLER AND ITS MANUFACTURE METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/083484
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A rubber crawler having a low bending rigidity at a joint portion, retaining the durability by keeping a uniform rotation, free from uneven arrangement of buried main cords in the lateral direction, having a high rectilinear performance, and free from rubber cutting. Its manufacturing method is also disclosed. The rubber crawler (1) has an insertion joint structure (S), in which both ends of a number of parallel reinforcing cords (3) constituting the main cords buried in the rubber crawler (1) are inserted into each other and connected in the form of an endless belt. The multiple reinforcing cords (3) are grouped into even parts (e.g., two parts in the shown example) in the lateral direction, and the two end portions (3A1 to 3A6) and (3B1 to 3B6) inserted into each other are arrayed linearly symmetrically with respect to dividing line L. Thus, an insertion joint structure (S) the side views of which show the same shape is provided, it is possible to eliminate uneven arrangement of the buried main cords, thereby to improve the rectilinear performance and the durability while preventing rubber cutting.
