Abstract:
A two-wheeled motor vehicle (10) is provided with a motor (34) having windings which can be changed over, an accelerator grip (46), a control unit (38) which outputs a control signal on the basis of an instruction from the accelerator grip (46), an inverter (40) which supplies an output voltage to the motor (34) on the basis of the control signal from the control unit (38), switches (42a-42c) which change over windings, current sensors (50a, 50b) which detect a motor current, and an encoder (52) which detects the phase of the motor (34). When the condition for changing over the windings is established, the control unit (38) adjusts the duty ratio of the inverter (40) on the basis of the motor current and the phase of the motor (34) so that the motor current is zero independent of the instruction from the accelerator grip (46). The windings are changed over during the adjustment of the duty ratio.
