Abstract:

In a safety control device according to the present invention, safety control logic is preconstructed so that equipment subject to control is controlled safely, and a computational processing unit executes control in accordance with the safety control logic on the equipment subject to control. In such a safety control device, a discrimination processing unit discriminates the type of safety input equipment connected to an input unit according to the safety control logic, the discrimination being made on the basis of an input signal inputted into the input unit from the safety input equipment. Thereafter, the computational processing unit executes control in accordance with the safety control logic on the equipment subject to control according to the type of safety input equipment discriminated by the discrimination processing unit.
