A safety switch device (1) is provided with a device body (2) and a movable portion (3) provided so as to be movable in a predetermined moving direction with respect to the device body. The device body is provided with: a rear face supporting portion (7) having a supporting face (7a) that supports the rear face of a mobile terminal (100); and a body side holding portion (8) that presses one side of the mobile terminal in the state of being supported by the rear face supporting portion. The movable portion is provided with a movable portion side holding portion (17) that is arranged to face the body side holding portion in the moving direction to press another side of the mobile terminal. The body side holding portion and the movable portion side holding portion are each provided with an inclined face that is placed in close contact with one or the other side of the mobile terminal. The inclined faces are inclined in such directions as to become closer to each other in the moving direction with increasing distance from the supporting face in a direction orthogonal to the supporting face. A region of the supporting face that is placed in close contact with the rear face of the mobile terminal is treated to have a greater friction coefficient than the surface of other areas of the device body.
