Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve a satellite radio-wave wristwatch which exhibits an excellent reception success probability, and with which the time expended on acquisition and tracking is shortened. A satellite radio-wave wristwatch according to the present invention is provided with: an antenna for receiving satellite radio waves; a high frequency circuit; a satellite radio-wave receiver having a decoder circuit; a clock circuit which stores and clocks internal time; and a controller for controlling the timing of at least a starting operation for starting the satellite radio-wave receiver by supplying a power source thereto, an acquisition/tracking operation in which the satellite radio-wave receiver is used to acquire and track a specific satellite radio wave, and a time-information acquisition operation for acquiring time information using the satellite radio wave received by the satellite radio-wave receiver. The controller waits for a starting time point inversely calculated by subtracting an acquisition/tracking time and a starting time from a time point at which time information can be received, said time point being predicted on the basis of the internal time, and then initiates the starting operation, and adjusts the acquisition/tracking time in accordance with prescribed conditions.
