Abstract:
A scanning antenna (1000A) is provided with a transmission/reception area (R1) including a plurality of antenna units, and a non-transmission/reception area (R2) positioned in an area other than the transmission/reception area. The scanning antenna (1000A) includes a TFT substrate (100A), a slot substrate (200A), and a liquid crystal layer (LC) provided between the TFT substrate and the slot substrate. The scanning antenna (1000A) includes: at least one monitoring capacitance portion (MV) formed in the non-transmission/reception area (R2), the at least one monitoring capacitance portion (MV) including a liquid crystal layer (LC), and a monitoring capacitance (CMV) having a first measurement electrode (ME1) and a second measurement electrode (ME2) opposing each other across the liquid crystal layer; and a voltage monitor portion (99) connectable to the first measurement electrode (ME1) of the monitoring capacitance (CMV).
