Abstract:
Provided is a highly reliable and cost-effective scattered object collection system capable of efficiently collecting scattered objects while reducing unnecessary traveling of a traveling collection machine. This scattered object collection system comprises a traveling collection machine 1 that picks up and collects balls B while traveling in a work area W. The scattered object collection system sets a virtual work area Z (virtual priority work area Za) to a location that is relatively dense with balls and that is in the vicinity of a ball collection point 66 in the work area W, and causes the traveling collection machine 1 to collect the balls in the virtual work area Z (virtual priority work area Za) with priority over the other areas.
