Abstract:

The present invention relates to a scrap preheating device comprising: a case provided with a sealable internal space therein so as to accommodate a scrap before putting the scrap into an electric furnace; and a surface combustion burner part made of a porous material and provided to an inner wall of the case so as to effectively pre-heat the scrap by using the combustible off-gas generated in the process of electric furnace operation as a main fuel.
