Abstract:
The present invention provides technology that has excellent production properties and that applies shear flow and stretching flow to a raw material such that it possible to continuously generate a kneaded product without retaining the continuously supplied raw material. A screw (20) for an extruder that kneads a raw material while conveying said raw material is provided with a screw main body (20p), conveyance sections (42a, 42b, 42c), a barrier wall section (43), and a passage (64). The screw main body rotates around an axis (41). The conveyance sections convey the raw material in the axial direction along an outer circumferential surface that extends over the circumferential direction of the screw main body. The barrier wall section restricts the conveyance of the raw material. The passage comprises an inlet (65) and an outlet (67). Raw material that is restricted with respect to the conveyance thereof by the barrier wall section flows into the inlet. The raw material that flows in from the inlet flows through the passage in the opposite direction of the conveyance direction of the conveyance sections. The outlet opens on the outer circumferential surface (36s) of the screw main body at a position that is on the upstream side of the conveyance direction in the conveyance section in which the inlet opens.
