Provided is a scroll-type fluid machine with which damage to spiral laps, etc., due to the movement of a bottom plate can be reduced, and longer life can be achieved. This scroll-type fluid machine comprises a fixed scroll in which a spiral lap part is provided to a bottom land of a panel, and a swirling scroll which is provided facing the fixed scroll and in which a spiral lap part is provided to a bottom land of a panel so as to form a plurality of compression chambers with the lap part of the fixed scroll. In at least one lap part between the lap parts of the swirling scroll and the fixed scroll, a recessed groove extending along the tooth tip of the lap part is formed, a seal member that slides against the bottom land of the scroll facing into the recessed groove is mounted, and a wear-resistant plate-shaped member is disposed on the bottom land facing the seal member. The plate-shaped member is configured so as to have a prescribed gap in the spiral winding direction with the disposed spiral lap part, and is configured so that the plate-shaped member and the spiral lap parts do not come into contact in the spiral winding direction due to the inner line side or outer line side of the spiral lap parts of the scroll and the side surface of the plate-shaped member coming into contact and ceasing to rotate.
