Abstract:
In this sealed refrigerant compressor, a thrust bearing (for example, a thrust ball bearing (210)) is provided on a thrust surface (136) of a main bearing (134). In the sliding surface of the main bearing (134), an end section on a compressive chamber (133) side serves as a first end, and an end section on the side opposite to the compressive chamber serves as a second end. Furthermore, L is the distance between the axial center of the compressive chamber (133) and the second end (sliding surface lower end (139)) of the sliding surface of the main bearing (134), and La is the distance between the axial center of the compressive chamber (133) and the first end (sliding surface upper end (138)) of the sliding surface of the main bearing (134). In this case, when the distance L is within the range of 38-51 mm, the distance La is no greater than 16 mm.
