Abstract:
Provided are a sealing apparatus used for a variable gauge wheelset, and a variable gauge wheelset; the sealing apparatus is used between a sliding mechanism (3) disposed on the variable gauge wheelset and an axle-box rear cover (2) of an axle box body (1); said sliding mechanism (3) can move axially relative to the axle box body (1) and can rotate relative to the axle box body (1); the sealing apparatus comprises a sliding sealing member and a rotating sealing member; the sliding sealing member comprises a sliding ring (4) sleeved outside the sliding mechanism (3) and sealingly connected to the rear cover (2) of the axle box; the inner wall of the sliding ring (4) is provided with a through-groove (41) in the axial direction; the outer wall of the sliding mechanism (3) is axially provided with a protruding part which slidingly fits with said through-groove (41); the rotating seal comprises a sealing retaining plate (5) fixed on the outside of the rear cover (2) of the axle box; the outer wall of the sliding ring (4) is circumferentially provided with an annular groove (42); the lower end of the sealing retaining plate (5) extends into said annular groove (42). The described sealing apparatus can seal between the sliding mechanism (3) and the axle housing (1), improving the sealed environment and enhancing sealing performance.
