Technical Field

The invention relates to a method which provides manufacturing quilt cover and pillowcases that constitute the duvet cover set in home textile sector.

The invention particularly relates to a method for manufacturing seamless duvet cover set which provides knitting of the side joining edges and lower joining edge during weaving of the front surface fabric and rear surface fabric in the double-layer fabric weaving loom, forming the mouth opening at the end of the weaving process and attaching accessories such as buttons, snap fasteners, zippers to the mouth opening so as to reduce the need for garment in the process of combining the front surface fabric and the rear surface fabric for forming the cover to be used to prevent the quilt and pillows from getting dirty and to prevent wasting extra time and labor for this process.

State of the Art

The textile product group created by the combination of quilt covers that are put on covers such as quilt, blanket, pique etc. and the pillowcases that are put on the pillows is called a duvet cover set. These textile products are widely used by the users since they can be easily replaceable and can be easily cleaned.

In the present art, while the quilt and pillowcases that constitute the duvet cover are sewn, on the other hand the two fabrics are combined with garment. During the manufacture of said duvet cover set, three edges of the covers are sewn; a mouth like opening is left with an apparatus on one of its requested edges. In the last phase, the area where the quilt and pillow will be inserted is determined by means of apparatuses such as button, zipper, snap fastener etc. All processes performed are fully manpowered. The number of mistakes made in the production performed by man power is decreased by means of making garment processes with machines. However, in case garment processes are carried out by the machines, the number of production per unit time reduces. In addition to these, during sewing process of quilt and pillowcases, a large amount of waste occurs. In order to reduce the sewing processes such as garment in the production of textile products in the state of art, seamless production methods are developed. One of them is described in the patent application numbered TR 2013 07481 . The invention relates to a novelty made in the production method by joining the bag which is manufactured from non- woven and spun lace fabric and expandable and seamless at the bottom portion, can be easily positioned in a vertical manner so as to provide ease of use, by means of welding thereof with ultrasonic method.

Another application is the utility model application numbered TR 2017 14878. The invention relates to seamless flock underwear which has colors and patterns created by flock printing and provides luxurious and comfort to the user with the flock fiber, characterized in that, it comprises the following; an adhesive layer which is applied to the entire surface of the underwear fabric or applied to the areas of the underwear that correspond to the waist and cuff parts and enables elasticity without using rubber in said areas; a layer of flock fibers (flock fiber) which is adhered on said adhesive layer by mechanical or electrostatic methods and provides a velvet and/or colored and/or patterned texture on the entire surface of the underwear product or on the waist and cuff regions.

In the present applications, the joining process in said applications is performed by using ultrasonic welding, by applying mechanical or electrostatic method on the adhesive layer. There is no study in relation to the production of any textile product on a weaving loom in a single piece by minimizing or eliminating the requirement for garment.

As a result, due to the abovementioned disadvantages, deficiencies, there is a requirement to make an innovation in the relevant technical field.

Aim of the Invention

The present invention is related to a seamless duvet cover set which fulfills the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.

The main aim of the invention is to produce a seamless duvet cover set by knitting the three edges during weaving the front surface fabric and rear surface fabric in the double layered fabric weaving machine so as to reduce the need for garment in the process of combining the front surface fabric and the rear surface fabric for forming the cover to be used to prevent the quilt and pillows from getting dirty and to prevent wasting extra time and labor for this process.

The aim of the invention is to obtain quilt cover and pillow case in a single form in the weaving loom.

The aim of the invention is to prevent waste/loss formation by means of obtaining quilt cover and pillowcase in a single form in the weaving loom.

The aim of the invention is to minimize the garment requirement in the manufacture of quilt and pillowcase.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the method which provides seamless manufacturing of the covers (10) used for preventing the quilt and pillows from getting dirty in the home textile sector is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing seamless duvet cover set in a single piece by means of knitting of the side joining edges (13) and lower joining edge (14) during weaving of the front surface fabric (1 1 ) and rear surface fabric (12) in the double-layer fabric weaving loom, so as to reduce the need for garment in the process of combining the front surface fabric (1 1 ) and the rear surface fabric (12) for forming the cover (10) to be used to prevent the quilt and pillows from getting dirty and to prevent wasting extra time and labor for this process.

In Figure-1 the general view of the cover (10) obtained by the inventive method is given. Accordingly the cover (10) comprises, front surface fabric (1 1 ) that forms the front surface of the cover (10), rears surface fabric (12) that forms the rear surface, side edge joining edges (13) that engages the front surface fabric (1 1 ) and the rear surface fabric (12) and lower joining edge (14), mouth opening (15) which is left out so as to insert the pillow or quilt into the cover (10).

The inventive seamless cover (duvet cover set) (10) comprises the following process steps;

• Knitting the side joining edges (13) and lower joining edge (14) during weaving of the front surface fabric (1 1 ) and rear surface fabric (12) in the double-layer fabric weaving loom,

• Forming the mouth opening (15) at the end of the weaving process, • Subjecting the obtained cover (10) to a finishing process,

• Adding accessories such as button, snap fastener, zipper etc. to the mouth opening (15).

A plurality of covers (10) can be manufactured according to the width length of the weaving loom simultaneously to be used in the pillows by means of the inventive production method. Cutting areas (16) are formed during knitting process of the side joining edges (13) in the production of a plurality of covers (10) side by side in the weaving loom. At the end of the weaving process, chord is released from the warp in the cutting areas (16) and the weft threads are floated and the covers (10) are separated from each other by cutting the same from the cutting areas (16) with a cutting apparatus. At the end of this process, tassels (161 ) are formed at the side joining edges (13) of the covers (10). The tassels (161 ) can be hidden by crinkling internally or can be used decoratively. General view of a plurality of covers (10) in a uniform manner which are obtained by the inventive method is given in Figure 2.

The width of the loom which is used in weaving the inventive cover (10) is 335 cm. On one hand only a single cover (10) can be obtained in the weaving loom for the quilt, on the other hand a plurality of covers (10) can be woven for the pillows with smaller sizes. This process is carried out by means of changing the report in the jacquard weaving machine.

During knitting of the lower joining edge (14), cutting area (16) and thus tassel (161 ) formation is observed as in the side joining edges (13). Since the cover (10) will be used in reverse form, the tassels (161 ) remain within the cover (10). In addition to this, tassels (161 ) can be used as accessories if required. The tassels formed on the lower joining edge (14) are not shown in the drawing.
