Abstract:
Provided are a seamless tube having excellent pressure-resistance performance, and a method for manufacturing the same. This seamless tube has therein a thin-walled part that is thin in the tube circumferential direction and is formed in the tube axial direction. In the seamless tube, a line segment formed by connecting one end and the other end of the thin-walled part along the tube surface with the shortest distance in the forming direction of the thin-walled part is inclined at an angle α of 5.0° or greater with respect to the tube axial direction. It is preferable that the one end and the other end of the thin-walled part be set from an intra-tube region selected by the shorter length among a length of 1.0 m in the tube axial direction and a length of 90% of the tube axial direction length of one rotation by the thin-walled part in the tube circumferential direction.
