Abstract:
Provided are a seatbelt retractor and a seatbelt device with which it is possible to increase resistance applied to a webbing during energy absorption while suppressing any increase in friction resistance during a pretensioner operation. According to the present invention, a base frame 3 is provided with an opening part 32a through which a locking base 6 is inserted, lock teeth 32b that are formed in the inner periphery of the opening part 32a and are capable of interlocking with part of a lock mechanism 5, and a guide member 7 that faces at least part of the outer peripheral surface of the locking base 6 and is positioned along the opening part 32a. The guide member 7 is configured so as to regulate contact between the locking base 6 and the lock teeth 32b from the start of operation of a pretensioner 4 until the pretensioner 4 transitions to a steady drive state, and to allow contact between the locking base 6 and the lock teeth 32b after the pretensioner 4 has transitioned to the steady drive state.
