Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a secondary battery, the method comprising: an electrode assembly providing step (S10) in which a separator has thereon folding lines spaced apart from each other and is folded along the folding lines in a zig-zag shape in upward and downward directions to form a plurality of individual layers, and a positive electrode and a negative electrode are alternatingly inserted between individual layers adjacent to each other, to thereby produce an electrode assembly having a structure in which the negative electrode, an individual layer of the separator, the positive electrode, and an individual layer of the separator are repeated; an insertion step (S20) in which the electrode assembly is inserted into a pouch; and a degassing step (S30) in which the pouch is degassed, wherein in the electrode assembly providing step (S10), the negative electrode and the positive electrode are manufactured in a square, and three sides of the four sides formed along the edge thereof, except one side that faces the folding lines, are manufactured so as to be open.
