Abstract:
Provided are a secondary battery and a battery module. The battery module comprises a plurality of secondary batteries arranged in sequence. Each of the secondary batteries comprises an electrode assembly (1), a casing (2), and a top cover assembly (3). The casing (2) has an accommodation chamber (21), and the electrode assembly (1) is accommodated in the accommodation chamber (21). The electrode assembly (1) comprises a plurality of electrode units (11), wherein the plurality of electrode units (11) are arranged in a stacked manner in an axial direction of the accommodation chamber (21). The top cover assembly (3) comprises a top cover plate (31) and a rupture disk (32), wherein the top cover plate (31) is connected to the casing (2) and located on one side of the electrode assembly (11) in an axial direction. The top cover plate (31) is provided with a through hole (311), and the rupture disk (32) is connected to the top cover plate (31) and covers the through hole (311). The top cover plate (31) has a first inner surface (312) on the side near the electrode assembly (1), the rupture disk (32) has a second inner surface (321) on the side near the electrode assembly (1), and the distance between the first inner surface (312) and the electrode assembly (1) is less than the distance between the second inner surface (321) and the electrode assembly (1). In the battery module, the direction in which the plurality of secondary batteries are arranged is perpendicular to the axial direction.
