Title:
SELF-DRAINING MOP SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2005101955
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a self-draining mop system whereby excess liquid is drained from floor scrubbing mops either using the handle of the mop or a bellows pedal. According to the invention, a movable grip element is used slide the plunger and the plunger catch along the outer part of the cylinder into the pressure path thereof in order to activate a traction body which is solidly connected to the end of the mop by means of internal or external threading or with a specially-designed bushing system, plunger catch systems and a rotary groove, such that it can actuate cams which are coupled to the shaft thereof and connect to the receiving platform, while the plunger moves together with the end of the mop, thereby preventing said end from moving and simultaneously increasing the pressure against the chamber. When the movable grip element returns to the original position thereof, by means of springs or return systems, the traction plunger moves backwards, the cams close and disconnect from the platform, thereby releasing the drained mop.
