Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-powered sensor, and a monitoring system including same. A self-powered sensor, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a power generation unit which converts external physical stimulation into electrical energy, and a sensing unit which generates a sensing signal corresponding to the electrical energy and transmits the sensing signal to the outside, wherein the sensing unit may comprise: an electrical energy storage unit which stores the electrical energy transmitted from the power generation unit; a switching unit which switches to an energized state or a power-saving state according to a result of comparison of the storage amount of the electrical energy stored in the electrical energy storage unit with a reference storage amount; and a processor which, as the switching unit switches to the energized state, generates a sensing signal on the basis of the electrical energy stored in the electrical energy storage unit and wirelessly transmits the sensing signal.
