Abstract:
Provided is a sensor mounting state determination device comprising a distance measuring unit that measures the distance from a vehicle to the road surface on the basis of the time required for an ultrasonic sensor to transmit a transmission wave and to receive a reflected wave, such ultrasonic sensor being mounted to the vehicle and being used to transmit the transmission wave towards the road surface and to receive the reflected wave which is reflected back from the road surface. Further provided to the device is a determination unit whereby, if the distance measured by the distance measuring unit matches a predetermined distance, the ultrasonic sensor mounting state is determined to be normal, whereas if the distance measured by the distance measuring unit does not match the predetermined distance, the ultrasonic sensor mounting state is determined to be abnormal.
