Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a separator which is able to be expected to improve the cycle life and the productivity of a battery. The present invention provides a separator for lithium ion batteries, which is composed of a nonwoven fabric base material that is loaded with inorganic particles, and which is configured such that the thickness elastic modulus at a measurement contact pressure of 189 kPa is 6.3 MPa or less based on the measurement contact pressure of 63 kPa.
