Abstract:
An apparatus for, while washing plant stems by means of a high-pressure water jetting unit, separating the outer skin from parts other than the same. Although in the prior art means for obtaining plant fibers has comprised separating the outer skin of plant stems from parts other than the same with the use of manpower and extracting plant fibers from the outer skin with the use of not only intensive manpower and hours but also a large volume of water, this apparatus realizes automatic extraction of a large volume of plant fibers through simple operation. The water having been used in the apparatus is clarified through a filter and recycled to thereby achieve water cutback to an extremely small volume.
