Abstract:
The present application provides a sequence number synchronization method, relating to the field of communication technology, solving the problem of sequence number synchronization in a transmission network, and avoiding the delay of forwarding a data message. The specific method comprises: a first network device sending a data message comprising a first synchronization instruction to a second network device, wherein the first synchronization instruction is used to instruct the second network device and the first network device to perform a sequence number synchronization operation; the first network device receiving a response message sent by the second network device, wherein the response message comprises a second synchronization instruction, the second synchronization instruction is used to instruct that the second network device has received the message comprising the first synchronization instruction; wherein, before the first network device receives the first response message comprising the second synchronization instruction, the first network device sets the first synchronization instruction in the data message sent to the second network device. Thus, the problem of sequence number synchronization is solved by carrying the instruction for the sequence number synchronization operation in a forwarded data message.
