Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of chemical materials. Disclosed are a serialized terpyridine epoxy resin, a synthesis process and an application thereof, and a coating containing the resin. In the present invention, monochloroalkanes having different structures are selected to react with terpyridine phenol to synthesize a series of terpyridine epoxy resins. A strong coordination bond can be formed of a nitrogen atom of pyridyl and a substrate metal atom. The obtained terpyridine epoxy resins are applied to an anticorrosive coating, the dry and the wet adhesion of the coating on a metal substrate can be effectively improved. The serialized terpyridine epoxy resin prepared in the present invention can be used for developing a high-strength long-acting heavy-duty anticorrosion coating, can satisfy long-acting protection requirements under a harsh corrosion environment, and has good application prospect and economic benefit.
