The present application provides a service flow identification method and apparatus, and a model generation method and apparatus. The service flow identification method comprises: a first device acquires a service flow to be identified, collects statistics about packet header information in said service flow in a preset time window to obtain packet header statistical information to be identified, and obtains end side information to be identified according to said service flow; and then, the first device determines the type of said service flow by means of a service flow identification model according to said end side information and said packet header statistical information. Therefore, the first device can fully consider the attribute information of a device associated with the service flow by applying the service flow identification model, the identification rate of the type of the service flow is improved, and the identification effect of the type of the service flow is ensured.
