Abstract:
A sewing machine needle plate for efficiently assissting strap edge covering, comprising: a needle plate main body (1), provided with a needle slot (11) for a sewing needle passing through; an outer sleeve (3), located above the needle plate main body (1), comprising a hollow tube portion (31) on one side and two side plate portions (32) located on one side of the hollow tube portion (31), a third gap (73) being provided between the lower surface of the outer sleeve (3) and the upper surface of the needle plate main body (1); a hollow tube (4), located in the hollow tube portion (31) of the outer sleeve (3), an integrally provided connection plate (42) being provided on one side of the hollow tube (4), the connection plate (42) being located between two side plate portions (32) of the outer sleeve (3) and being connected to the side plate portions (32) by means of a connection block (34); a first gap (71) being provided between the outer wall of the hollow tube (4) and the inner wall of the hollow tube portion (31), second gaps (72) being provided between the side plate portions (32) and the connection plate (42), and the first gap (71) being in communication with the second gaps (72); and the hollow tube being internally provided with the third gap (73). Said sewing machine needle plate is able to synchronously complete the wrapping of a rubber band during the process of sewing the silk fabrics and the rubber band together, improving the traditional process and shortening the time consumed by the process.
